[ROM][N5][5.1.1] Chroma

• ... Und erneut ein Update wegen eines FC's:

07/11 r2: Fix battery LED force closing.
----
Another maintenance release for android-5.1.1_r8. Nothing was really changed in _r8. I also updated the kernel to fix a screen freezing problem that arise when using wake gestures.

Also changed the recommended GApps from BaNkS to TK GApps (formerly known as PA GApps). Lately BaNkS GApps has been having a lot of instability when it comes from upgrading from a prior BaNkS GApps to a newer version of the GApps. You can continue using BaNkS GApps if you wish to do so. I personally use Nano, at the top of the thread you can see the package comparison to see the differences between all of the GApps

• Kleines Update

Chroma 08/02/2015 for Nexus 5 (hammerhead)

I'll release another update whenever Google releases the stagefright fixes to the public. Meanwhile, you can use TextraSMS / ChompSMS to workaround the vulnerability if you're worried. I wouldn't worry about it too much as it is not currently being exploited yet.

• UPDATE (Blind Build!!!)

Angeblich soll der Hells bald als Kernel mit in die Rom kommen. Aktuell ist der Dev Zephik aber wohl noch zu faul gewesen

This is a blind build. Please let me know if everything works, I changed the proprietary binaries to reflect with LMY48I's updated binaries. Thank you
Kernel is still stock Google. I was too lazy

• Update mit Sicherheitspatches

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERY USER OF CHROMA TO UPDATE TO THIS BUILD TO NOT BE VULNERABLE TO THIS ATTACK.
It should be noted that the previous patches by Google (LMY48I) builds do not fix the Stagefright vulnerability - you can read more at:

https://blog.exodusintel.com/2015/08/13/sta…n-accomplished/

The Zimperium application has been updated to detect a new "loophole" to attack - you may check, https://play.google.com/store/apps/det…efrightdetector

08/14/2015 addresses this problem and is no longer vulnerable to the recent discovery. As other OEMs and companies are starting to do monthly updates to address Android related security problems. You'd have to normally wait for the OTAs to arrive.

I've added onto the core philosophy of Chroma of keeping my ROM users secured from any vulnerability attacks. So I'll be adding security patches to prevent any Android related vulnerabilities from being exploited and will be pushing updates for these patches as soon as possible.

• Und es gab mal wieder Update...gut, dass ich nicht so schnell war, denn bei dem vom 31.08. gab es wohl Probleme bei den Layers.
Diese wurden per 01.09. gefixt:

This fixes the layer problem that was introduced in 08/31/2015. I didn't have any problems on the layer theme I was running but this brings it back to how it was on 08/24/2015. Apologies for the inconvenience.

• Chroma 09/27/2015 Final Lollipop Build

Well guys,

It's been quite the adventure in the Lollipop series. This was my first ROM in general and I've learned many new things, I was surprised to see the success of Chroma ROM especially on the Nexus 6. 09/27/2015 will be the final build from me in the Lollipop series. If Marshmallow gets delayed or any hotfixes needed to be made in 09/27/2015 build then I will push another update but for the most part this is the final build.

Chroma will continue with the Marshmallow series when the source code becomes available. Be sure to check out Google's announcement on September 29th on more details about Marshmallow and the new Nexus devices. The only device that is confirmed for Chroma Marshmallow is the Nexus 6 (2014). There is a good chance that the new Nexus devices in 2015 will be supported but my priority will be supporting the device that I use on a daily basis which is the Nexus 6 (I might upgrade to a Nexus 6P).

Chroma will only get better in Marshmallow and I hope to follow the same core philosophy that you all have become accustomed to in the Lollipop builds. Either way, enough ranting! Here's the last build. Similarly to the previous builds, just a maintenance build and nothing "explosive" when it comes to feature sets.
