This is another fairly large update coming so I wouldnt discourage you from clean flashing and for sure at least wiping system and Dalvik. This has updated clang, GCC, kernels, global -O3 (what broke camera last build), more Art JIT changes, some master branch merges, and of course fixed pin / pattern. I'm not sure When Mikaole will get to uploading it but Ill have it finished in the next hour or two.
Oh, merged N kernel source as well.
-
-
Seems merging N kernel source is causing some issues with at least TiBu and app backup/restore so for now Im going to revert that merge till I can identify what commit(s) is/are causing this. Ill have a fixed build up in a bit.
-
-
Another day another issue squashed. I found the offending commit and remerged N source without it. Next build will be another fairly significant update from an optimization standpoint.

So... Thinking you're a sort of wizard...
Build after build this ROM gas grown better and better(and I don't know how that's possible ).. I have been using since you release it for hammerhead last year...I also used another you ROM: psx(please correct me if I'm wrong)... I discovered a few days ago that it was created by you...
So,thanks thanks thanksInviato dal mio Nexus 6 utilizzando Tapatalk

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, PSX was my Rom back when it was still on XDA. After that I stopped developing it and created Velocity. PSX continued for a while (3-4 months) after I left but had nothing to do with what PSX was about. Continuing to find new ways to make things faster and more efficient is why I do this. What was your username on XDA? I thought I knew almost all the PSX users.

Ok, I didnt see any posts from you in either the PSX Mako or HH threads. I really miss those days. Was the golden age of Rom development. When XDA wasnt full of nonsense.

Ohh.. You're right man...everything was different... Android was a really open source project(until 4.2 jelly bean)... Now it is a google thing...Inviato dal mio Nexus 6 utilizzando Tapatalk

More importantly the people developing Roms were actually developing and not just kanging stuff from everyone else. There were so many original Roms back then. Now its just different versions of the exact same thing. And many/most of the users back then were more interested in learning and contributing. Now its just a bunch of people with their hands out demanding something and complaining about everything. Really sad to see what its become.

Wow... I agree with you...
Really sad... In fact shamu ROMs are all the same thing with some difference... But there isn't a ROM with something of special... Velocity is the only one(just see how much it is slimmer than each other Rom)... Keep you super work...Inviato dal mio Nexus 6 utilizzando Tapatalk

All devs Could slim the Rome up ... they just need to remove all the useless (for Shamu) audio monitor files from the binaries. Theyre over 100mb and do nothing for us.
What makes Velocity different are the unique optimizations and custom toolchains. I dont just reuse something someone else does.

Hi ctfromm. I wanted to say that my top speaker is producing a higher volume when whatching videos or playing music than the bottom. Is this intended? Are there any logs or anything else I can provide? Thank you for this awesome rom!
-
Havent touched anything to do with the speakers.
-
would be cool if it is fixable, if it is considered an issue
-
Being that I havent changed anything related to that and I dont have the same issue I doubt anything will change. If youre telling me this only happens on V and IF you can tell me what build it didnt do this on then maybe I can do something.
