Alright all....long silence is over. Been working on fixing TiBu restore and getting Velocity Marlin working. Back to business now. New build......
Completely redone from fresh 7.1.1 source. All the same features from previous build as well as a couple other minor changes (T9 dialer, more Substratum stuff, download speed + pause/resume, etc). All optimizations are redone. More features and more speed coming soon....I would definitely clean flash this. Enjoy......

Initial build also has all current Substratum commits and Pixel theming. Features will come soon. Not sure how many though. Velocity isnt about a million features. There are plenty of Roms for that. Feel free to share any of my work with anyone, all I ask is no threads elsewhere.

Velocity Marlin will be coming soon. I'm close to sorting out the issue I had with my previous attempt.

I'll provide updated ones as they come. Velocity Marlin will be coming soon. I'm close to sorting out the issue I had with my previous attempt.

Ive also removed the Pixel live wallpapers (added like 100mb), added adblocking hosts, set MTP to default on USB plug in. I will continue to tweak stuff to my liking as well but adding a ton more performance vs stock is my main objective. Just to shed a little light on why Im kanging another Rom.....I made a Marlin build of Velocity but for some reason the sensors arent working so I wanted to see if I could figure out what was causing it. I'm certain its my use of custom clang or some other advanced optimization. Pure is a fantastic Rom to use as a base for now. Once I find whats causing the sensor issue look for a normal Velocity build.

Speakerphone was fixed last build.

Alright....after fighting with Shamu for a week on this new audio issue 7.1.1 brought its new build for everyone else time. See above for changes. I would at least wipe both caches and system if not clean flashing this one.

I just clean flashed new build and it looks like this is fixed. What a PITA....thanks Google!
Alright, lets see how this is for everyone else....I would say at the very least, wipe both caches and system but clean may be better.

Its this.....
Beta-OptInGood news is I think I have it all working now. Just doing some more testing.

You tell him Fraz .... what a slacker ;P

This is getting on my last nerve....issue is 100% related to new vendor binaries. I redid the kernel based on 7.1.1 source and all is ok till I update the binaries. Im gonna try a few more things, but its odd no other Roms have this issue.
-
Ok, so this is Google restore related. If I allow Google restore to run at all after the 1st reboot this shows up. No idea what would cause that or why it just started after updating kernel and binaries to 7.1.1 but thats the deal. This is likely why very few have this issue. Setting up as new device seems to work fine regardless of Tibu restore or GApps package. What a f'n PITA.
-
Thanks, I appreciate it. I've got this narrowed down though. Its absolutely an app or GApp related. If I clean flash Rom only all is fine. If I clean flash Rom + GApps (PICO or Nano) all is fine. When I restore apps/data via TiBu it starts acting up.

Ok, seems clean flashing or even wiping system seems to fix this issue. Hopefully a build will be ready today.
-
I havent uploaded a new build with the issue yet.

Is there anyone who can test this for me to confirm what Im seeing? Seems this isnt affecting all users. No one else I have using this has this issue. A USA user would be helpful if possible.

The sound is coming through both speakers and causing an echo for the callers. This has been an issue similar to this on every update of nougat. I'm glad it's not just me.
-
Ran into some issues with call audio. Not sure what the issue is yet, but it's either kernel or binary update related. Hopefully I can work this out soon.

No. Some will come back but likely less than half.
