Here you go. Kernel is done. Features are minimal right now but it should be fully functional and very fast.

New build....
- Updated toolchains
- Updated kernel ( a lot faster)
- Some other minor fixes
-
Well, no boot issue is definitely kernel toolchain related. Without a device to test on it would take me forever to figure out exactly whats going on so I doubt Bullhead will get anymore toolchain updates, unless of course they fix this issue in source.
Issue is sorted. Kernel toolchain updates will be back for Bullhead and Angler.

Glad to hear it. I should have MVK added back next build.

This is my current build but BH is stock kernel right now. Features are minimal but speed should be good. Close to old build and will be faster when MVK comes back.
-
I was able to get Angler building with my custom clang. I should have a build for you guys in the next couple days.
-
Ok, so good news. I got Bullhead building with my custom clang. I should have something for you guys in a day or two. Unless you can live with stock kernel, then I can give you what I have now.

I added Pixel icon for Dialer as well as a couple more minor features. Dashboard titles and conditions toggles. Oh, and dashboard shortcuts for SU, Substratum, etc. You will likely have to wipe Pixel launcher data to see the updated icon.
-
Looks like some of you will get some additional bonus items as well....lol. Drive is overwriting my uploads these days so a new test build is actually tied to that link. So if you see things in the build not listed, thats why.

Btw does this version have a Gapps backup script? Can I flash it without reflashing Gapps?
As for root, is the usual SuperSU 2.78 viable?
Yes and Yes. Im using SuperSU 2.78-SR5 right now

Time for another "pre-release" build I think....Ive spent a lot of time optimizing both the Rom and my clang toolchain but a few features have made their way in.
- Clock/date customization
- "Tap to sleep" options
- Dialer reverse lookup
- Call vibration options
- Proximity speakerphone
- Bunch of settings menu reorganization
- Various other small changes
- All new Substratum commits
- A bunch more speed

I always use TiBu to backup and restore. What Ive found best for me is to backup all apps+app data (user apps only) and also do an update.zip backup. When I clean flash I do things in a very specific sequence and I rarely have issues...
- Factory reset twice using slider in TWRP
- Wipe system partition twice
- Flash Rom, GApps, SU
- Boot into Rom and get through setup
- Install TiBu from play, launch app, and grant SU permissions
- Reboot to recovery and flash update.zip
- Rom will reboot automatically and after its all booted back up TiBu should automatically restore all of your app data
-
You cant dirty flash this over a 7.1.0 build without expecting issues.
-
It was good at the time, for some users. Others had issues. No 64 bit device is currently compiling with my custom toolchain so until (and if) I decide to sort that out Shamu is the only device Im building for.
-
Its on AFH. I'm not sure it works too well and I am no longer building for it for now. Too difficult to blind build for these 64 bit devices.
-
Yea, Im going to add the things I personally use but that's about it. Clock/date options, battery icons, LED, and quick pulldown will be about it I think. Maybe a couple cosmetic changes as well and I will add Substratum for you guys.
-
No substratum yet, the commits for 7.1.1 arent merged yet. Yes on the Dec security. And stock AOSP? No, not even close. I just havent really added any features yet. As far as official Shamu source? Great if so. That will add proper kernel source and binaries, but nothing else. This is the same build as the Pixels are getting and newer than Angler/Bullhead source.

Here's a taste if you like ....

This is 7.1.1 and should be clean flashed. Same Gapps and su should be fine.

At what point are you guys interested in a build? I haven't added really any features yet. I completely redid the kernel. Current build does have all the pixel stuff added and is extremely fast. I think many previous features won't be added back as that's not really my style. The last few months of builds were very different than my norm and what velocity is really about. This time it will be simple, reliable, and blazing fast. The features I use will come back, but don't expect it to be like it was. Most of my work will be focused on improving my custom clang and making this as fast as possible.
