Yep...dev binaries fixed that so real N ones should be fine. Next build will address a lot of random stuff.

Its binary related. Im going to revert some kernel stuff thats causing data issues and rebuild.

Change to front cam and back again.
-
Camera isnt working on this build. I changed to stock kernel + dev binaries and its working again. Not sure which fixed it though. As soon as I sort it out Ill upload another build. I'll likely build a basic kernel next onn NP5 source.

.39 is the newest radio....not sure on bootloader.
-
Yea, baseband and bootloader are never included in Roms. Im using the ones from NP5.

Some micro stutters
Lol....youre just spoiled from Velocity....this is mostly stock aosp. -
I used the same Super + script I did on M, but pico work fine too. And I have no idea what Open is talking about.....not sure why they wouldnt just release a patch for this if they know what the issue is.
-
Yes....add account after. Works fine so far.

Ok, who wants to play with N? Some caveats though.....I hacked this to work with GApps by simply bypassing setup wizard for now till we have a real solution. Also, Im still using M kernel and M binaries as we dont have new ones yet. My question is, do you guys want it in a raw Alpha form just to play with or do you want to wait?

AOSP master just merged N source....OMP is on hold as I have to start over again. This is my preferred Rom, so dont fret. It will be back soon I hope.
-
Any angler folks out there did want to test to N build? In just curious if it boots.
-
Were on hold till GApps is fixed or there is a new Rom patch to make them work.
-
Still trying to sort out setupwizard issues like we had on M. Im sure its a permission thing, but N is slightly different so....Upside, this runs fine using M binaries and MVK from M. Its very fast already with little intervention.
-
N works great even with M binaries and kernel.....need GApps. Root works fine so as soon as we have a working GApps pack were good to go for N.
-
N is cooking now...no proper Shamu binaries yet or real kernel source, but I would expect a build of some sort as early as tomorrow if the old binaries work or if I can find working ones.

I tried the 1st preview for about 30 minutes.

Nougat release tags are being pushed to AOSP now. Looks like the basic structure of M is being maintained, which is good. AOSP master is radically different and I was afraid they were going to change N to that as well. I'll hopefully have a working build (close to stock aosp) sometime this week and will share all good builds here.
