  • Linux und die Kompatibilität!

    Ich bin ja schon ein bisschen länger mit Linux unterwegs. Hauptsächlich wegen dem compilieren von Kernel. Bei meinem alten Laptop wars zuerst Linux Mint, was sehr gut lief, jedoch lies sich damit der Nexus 4 Kernel irgendwie nicht compilieren. Der vom S3 ging ohne Probleme. Ich bin dann auf Ubuntu umgestiegen. Bei meinem aktuellen Laptop hat Ubuntu Windows ganz abgelöst, ist Ubuntu only.

    Da gibt es so viele Beispiele... Wir sind abgebrüht und nehmen Sachen als Tatsachen hin, weil uns gesagt wird es seien Tatsachen.

    Es ist klar, dass wir nicht über alles nachdenken sollen, doch ich amüsiere mich immer wieder über die menschlichen Reaktionen. In den USA läuft einer Amok "Uiiiiii, diese armen Menschen, die können doch nichts dafür!" Dass immer wieder Kinder und unschuldige Menschen von Dronen getötet werden, scheint jedoch völlig egal zu sein. Das ist dann Kollateralschaden. Logo, ne? *kopfschüttel*

    Man hätte da mMn härter durchgreifen müssen, dass es gar nie so weit kommt, dass Hersteller das Syetem so weit verbasteln. Touch Wiz und Sense sind eher Android Forks als einfache "Herstelleroberflächen". Mir ist es schlussendlich egal, ich bin zufrieden mit dem N4 und werde bei der Nexus Linie bleiben.

    Es wird schon lange davon geredet, dass ab Version "X" die Android Updates direkt von Google kommen und die Herstelleroberflächen, Apps usw. dann vom Hersteller aktualisiert werden. Das könnte zumindest mal eine erste Vorbereitung darauf sein :)

    Bin zu faul zum übersetzen:

    "The basic idea - which comes from smartass - is the concept of an "ideal" frequency.

    The following strategy is used:
    1) If load is above upper-threshold and current frequency is below ideal freq
    -> jump to ideal in one step
    2) If load is above upper-threshold and current frequency is at or above ideal freq
    ->do "ramp up" steps which will include all frequencies for a specific
    amount of time - so compared to ondemand no "jumping" to max frequency
    3) if load is below lower-threshold and current frequency is below ideal freq
    ->do "ramp down" steps
    4) if load is below lower-threshold and current frequency is above ideal freq
    -> jump down to ideal in one step

    All those thresholds ramp steps and frequency stepping times are
    fully configurable using sysfs.

    Additional to make it "snappy" smartmax has "touch poke"
    So input events from the touchscreen will boost the cpu for a specific
    time to a specific frequency."
