I have to try it then! But not now, because I have to make a data backup to set ext4, also I want to stay few days without wiping my phone. ![]()
Me too but I've applied it some time ago for tests and it's stable so I haven't a reason to switch back to ext4 [emoji14]

I know, I know... But I'm using F2FS and chad's kernel doesn't support it.
However, could you tell me if chad's kernel has gamma control with custom profiles?
I could switch back from f2fs to ext4 but I really need few features, for example gamma control.

So, after messing around with GAPPS and other stuff, I finally did manage to get my device perfectly working based on Velocity. Now I can just wait for first Android N builds for Hammerhead ![]()

New Nexuses are going to be really nice, however, as there are made by HTC, I'm affraid that the price will be high... I will probably wait few months and will go for Sailfish, especially if it gets your support.
Full HD, SD820, 4GB of RAM and Chad's ROM... It will be a beast. Still, I really hope that you will try to build something for Nexus 5. ![]()
OK thanks. Since before the ROM supports thought like all other ROM had evolved and would support OMS. This is what happened to all the old ROM that supported layers.
Edit :
Anyway, I checked Layers still works

Substratum works too.
And the question is... What ROM we will be using when Android N comes without Nexus 5 support... ![]()
Ps. I just clean-flashed todays build. That's the second clean flash today.
Hope you won't say tommorow that you upload another faster build ![]()
You're new here arent you
Speaking about Velocity ROM - yes, I just met this ROM. Only thanks to this that I search often "hammerhead" on the AFH - that's how I found Velocity. And it's really the fastest ROM I have been using on my Nexus 5. There is no such a fast ROM on the XDA. So don't be surprised that I can't believe how this ROM can be even faster. ![]()
OMFG... Even faster?!

I can confirm - no problems with the test build. Now this ROM is perfect ![]()
OK, if it doesn't make huge difference, that's no problem. ![]()
Great! Will try tommorow. Speaking about that... Sorry that I'm asking, I'm a noob in development stuff, but in updater-script of latest build I can see:
Zitatui_print("Target: google/hammerhead/hammerhead:6.0/MOB30J 2775141:user/release-keys");
while in other ROMs, for example CM the number of version is newer:
Zitatui_print("Target: google/hammerhead/hammerhead:6.0.1/MOB30Y/3067468:user/release-keys");
Maybe that's nothing to do and doesn't make any difference but I'm just curious ![]()
I will just try out july build then ![]()
Well, I don't have good news
Call audio is totally broken, I can't hear anything. I didn't check it yesterday, I just tested media volume which is fine. While I use custom kernel (updated), it looks like it's a ROM issue. But if someone could confirm that on stock kernel, it would be good.

Edit - I can see 08/08 build on AFH. I'm on 08/07. Does 08/08 brings any audio changes?
Unfortunately Nexus 5 won't get Android N. That's shame... This ROM shows how fast this device can be and it could handle Nougat for sure.

Installed latest build... OMG, this ROM is so insanely fast that I don't know what to say... It's not only fast - it's also crazy smooth. Also, no problems with audio. Even my favorite Substratum theme works without problems! I have to say that I'm using custom kernel, but that's because I use f2fs and I need few features that are not included in stock kernel. The most important is that my phone flies and it's completely stable. This ROM is really amazing and I hope Nexus 5 will be getting new builds for the long time. Because this is great device and great device needs great ROM.
Great! Does stock kernel support f2fs?

Ok, I may try Velocity kernel, but I don't know what you mean when you sat that you are not using themes. I don't use either, I was speaking about STOCK theme. I was speaking about default light theme and dark theme which is available in developer settings.
