Cinque Terre are five little villages not far away from La Spezia. You can reach each of them by car or train :ueberleg:. But you can't drive by car from one to anoither. You can walk from one village to the next one on the Via dell' amore. When I was there for holidays I stayed in Riomaggiore. In these days I was so young. The little bar had got a jukebox playing the summerhit of that year: I Like Chopin from Gazebo. This was the year 1983.

Cinque terre ist a lovely place. Or it was :nix: I don't know how it looks like now. I haven't seen the pictures in the net. But I can imagine the pictures in my memory. Great, wonderful, lovely. I don't know what tourism effected there in the last few 25 years :zwin: Maybe a lot.
Go to Cinque terre and find out what happened in between, my Dear :freund: and tell me your impression........then, in a few years :zwin:

I'm sorry that I haven't been here for nearly one week. The reason ist that I'm (still) sick :krank: :tabl: And my kids, too. First my daughter and now my son. I've still got troubles with my eyes. :krank:

thank you :freund: I hope I'll be fit til the weekend.
The doctor says, that I've got a frontal sinusitis (Stirnhöhlenentzündung) and that's the reason why my eyes ache. I'm very sensitive to light 8:) and I can't spend a longer time using the screen. The doctor gave me a receipt for a special medicine :tabl: This takes time. Keep yourself clean :zwin:

I can't stay in bed. I'm sorry. But there are children I have to look after. And then there's less time to stay in bed. That's why it takes such a long time for my convalescence.
My kids could stay in bed while they were sick :yes:

how was the storm "emma" in germany and in your town? is there a big destruction and harm? :ueberleg:

The storm wasn't as heavy as it was announced before. It was very windy, but I think, that there was no real storm in our area.
In the north of Germany Emma was more intensive and there were damages and some people were hurt. Sorry, I don't have more exakt information.

Did you have any influence of Emma in Austria?

:muetze: maybe, yes,i know that in the north there was very terrible, i saw it on TV.

also in the north of austria,Emma took off a few roofs, and in our area there wasn´t it so much harm from the storm,but from the hail and snow,there were closed roads and a big traffic chaos..

On Wednesday this week we had a terrible day here in Southern Germany.
There wasn't anything like this announced in the weather forecast. Or I overheard it
It was a very heavy wind with violent squalls. It started in the early afternoon and took time until the evening. It was so mighty, that my table on the balcony was turned over and the things which were standing on the table got damaged.
And a few hours later it was as calm as ever before :wand:

At the end of the Easterholidays I will go to Hamburg. I will go by plane :ang: and hope that there won't be any problems with the weather..... not on the flight and not at my short stay there :daumdr:
