PRO TIP?!
Zitat
0.8s / ISO 100 / L Camera + RawTherapee
This is a demonstration of Nexus 5's low-light static-scene performance improvement in Lollipop. Zoom in (Icon on the top-right > View full resolution) to see the difference. To achieve these shots, what I did was: 1. Switch to manual mode and turn the ISO down to 100, since I'm using a tripod so handshake is not a problem. (Actually, I just find something solid to lean my Nexus 5 on, that's why all these images have poor composition.) 2. Enable Semi-bulb mode (Keep capturing at maximum duration until I stop it. You can use it to simulate long exposure) and DNG output. 3. Capture. 4. Edit each DNG file with RawTherapee to correct exposure, white balance and others. Then, export the image in a lossless format. (In reality you only have to edit one image in a stack and apply the settings to other ones.) 5. Optionally use Hugin's `align_image_stack` program to align each image in case the camera moved while capturing. 6. Use G'MIC (#Nexus) to perform median stacking, this will significantly reduce noise in the image. This also has the additional effect of removing moving objects. 7. Fine tune the result image (i.e. apply sharpening). While the process is complicated, and obviously won't work with dynamic scenes, the cool thing is that theoretically someone can implement all of these steps on the device with the new API, and provide a one-click (put camera on a tripod, start capture and wait for a few seconds, wait for processing, ???, profit!) solution to low-light photography. The unedited photos from Google Camera's HDR+ mode is also included for reference. Do note that this is not intended as fair comparison since we are using wildly different approaches (though I believe Google's HDR+ also does some sort of stacking in the process). Think of it more as "what was previously possible" and "what will be possible".XDA
