[ROM] SlimSaber - Hammerhead [24.09] [SlimKat Unofficial Builds] von Hopper8

Hallo zusammen,

ich möchte Euch hier eine weitere Rom auf Basis der Slimkat vorsetellen.
Die SaberSlim von Hopper8 finde ich persönlich bei mir sehr flott.

Für alle, die sich mit Slim noch nicht so gut auskennen, hier eine tolle Seite von Slim mit dem Feature-Baum, echt nett:

Ich habe hier aktuell 3 Threads zu auf Basis der SlimKat mit Sabermod compilierten Roms auf:

- Hopper8
- Minux31
- RobbieL811

Grundsätzlich laufen die alle sehr gut.
Aber...und hier kann sich wieder jedes N5 anders verhalten...es kann sein, dass bei Dir ein anderes Build besser läuft als bei mir. Testet einfach. Ich hatte bislang mit einem "dirty-flash" innerhalb dieser Versionen der Slim keinerlei Probleme.

Die zusätzlichen Features im Vergleich zur Original Slim habe ich im Post 2 einfügt.

Bekannte Bugs:
Wie bei allen mit Versionen höher Sabermod 4.7 compilierten Roms:
- Kamera-Bug beim "rendern" von Bildern im Fokus-Modus (Blur), da die Kamera-App an dieser Stelle nicht kompatibel ist.

Wie immer gilt:
Weder ich, Android Port, die böse Schwiegermutter oder der liebe Gott sind schuld daran wenn IHR etwas falsch macht und aus dem Nexus 5 ein schöner Briefbeschwerer wird!
Benutzt diese Anleitung nur wenn ihr auch versteht was ihr da macht!

Wenn von Stock oder einem anderen Rom kommend:

1.

   • Ab in die Recovery (CWM or TWRP)

   • Wipe data/factory reset

   • Wipe cache and dalvik cache

   • Install ROM

   • Install Gapps

   • Reboot und freuen

Wenn ihr ein Update machen wollt (von dieser Version oder der Original) dann reicht ein "dirty flash" (wipe cache, dalvik cache und system)

Zusätzliche Features:

• Gesture unlock for lockscreen
• Network speeds in status bar
• Configure double tap status bar to sleep
• Custom system animations
• Integrated performance options in ROM
• Soft reboot option
• Mobile data disabled by default. This is to avoid extra carrier charges during ROM setup
• SuperSU root management
• Lockscreen Notifications
• Advanced calculator with floating mode
• Battery saving network mode: Automatic switch to 2G when screen is off.
• Smooth scrolling (disable scrolling cache)
• Confirm to reboot to bootloader/recovery

Goodies:

Extra volume stepsTo add extra volume steps into the ROM, we can edit build.prop. I use ES file explorer with root permissions granted. Navigate to /system/build.prop, and add these two lines, but change the number to what you desire. Stock is 15. After adding the lines, make sure to reboot. Done! Thanks fusionjack for the tip

Ihr könnt die Anzahl der Steps durch Verändern der Zahl am Ende selbst festlegen. Stock-Standard ist 15!

Wer hat die SlimSaber denn am Laufen? Mit was für einem Kernel seit ihr unterwegs?
Ich hatte bislang immer den Uber am Laufen. Hatte aber gestern einige Ton-Aussetzter und lief auch nicht ganz so flüssig wie gewohnt.
Mit dem Update von heute Morgen bin ich seit langem mal wieder beim ElementalX gelandet.
Der läuft bislang sehr flüssig. Allerdings wird wohl der Akkuverbrauch etwas höher sein als beim Uber...aber schaun wir mal!

Hat einer von Euch HellsCore am Start??? Wie schlägt der sich auf der SlimSaber???

Sorry for the long wait people, no I'm not dead :p two things why this one has taken so long
- @<a href="Elephone Produkte bei Efox-Shop" target="_blank">fusionjack</a> is on vacation, so he has been saving bandwith by not pushing to his git. Now I noticed he pushed the changes for weekly 8.6.1 to his git so we've got them :highfive:
-My thesis is due in two days :eek: so that has been taking all my time. I intend to pick the hammerhead kernel commits on slim gerrit to give us an update but realistically this was not going to happen before my thesis.

-Bump to weekly 8.9, apart from settings re-organisation from weekly 8.8. Fusionjack plans to take a look at this on the weekend, it's a lot of work to merge.

Ok people, here it is!

Big kernel optimisations:
-Enable graphite
-Enable memory optimization
-Compile with -Ofast
-Disable some debug flags
-Reduce swappiness to 10%
Due to these kernel changes, I'm seeing some nice scrolling improvements, especially in browser with a lot of images (google + etc). You won't see a difference if you use a custom kernel but that's up to you :p
Other:
- Screen recorder -thanks @<a href="SlimSaber-hammerhead-4.4.4-20141110.zip" target="_blank">ezio84</a>. First enable it in settings-advanced-screen recorder. Then either long press power button &amp; select to start, or vol up + power. In the changelog it will show 2x screen recorders, the first one was removed to make way for this one, it's much nicer than the first
-Set fiops to default I/O scheduler
-frameworks_telephony: updates &amp; bug fixes
-Various bug fixes/improvements
