There is definitely some commonality for those that cant boot this. I ran into the exact same issue with HH and just assumed it wouldnt work. Its either a hardware difference (doubtful) or something on the software/firmware side. What baseband and bootloader is everyone using? Lets do this.....if everyone who is using this or has tried it can post their baseband, bootloader, and whether it booted or not and maybe we can see a pattern. Pull both version numbers from the bootloader screen for consistency please. Im on....
Baseband: D4.01-9625-05.36+FSG-9625-02.112
Bootloader: motoapq8084-71.21 (sha-f12f8c2)
Boots: YesBoth of these are from N preview 3 or 4

@btb can you try it with synthesis vendor files?
Chainfire -
Ofcourse, install the vendor file with fastboot?
Nexus 5X Bullhead
Bootloader: BHZ10P
Baseband: M8994F-2.6.32.1.13Not booting
-
However you normally install them. I know nothing about these new phones.
-
Twrp does nog recognize the TGZ-file, that's why i'm asking
-
Ok, again I have no idea what the process for flashing/using these is. I'm not even sure what Googles rationale for handling vendor files like this is. Seems really dumb to me. And if theyre TGZ files you most likely have to extract them to get the img's.
-
Ok, so these appear to be the vendor files that get built in so dont bother flashing them. I'll try building with these then upload a test when done.

Weird, have another user with the exact same and he's running this just fine. 2 more follow up questions.....
Are you encrypted currently? Are you using a "pin" during boot process? -
Ok, here is a BULLHEAD test build....I cant confirm it boots for those the other did yet though so no idea what this will do.
-
Thanks Chad, I'm downloading!
-
I missed the graphics/qcom binaries so I doubt that boots....sorry. Give me a bit to redo it
