Final 8.0 build is up. See changelog for details. This was basically a complete redo of everything. This should run much better all around as well as improve battery life and stability. I will start work on 8.1 in the next day or two.

There was no source for 8.1 prior to yesterday so not sure what that is. Definitely not a source built Rom. Good to see someone got 8.1 to boot on Shamu though regardless.

Going to do one last 8.0 build with December security as well as a bunch of other changes and then I'll start working on 8.1. No idea how much work it will be or if its even portable to Shamu but I will try. Hopefully Ill get the final 8.0 build up in the next couple days.

In the 2017-10-14 build with proximity speakerphone settings in velocity settings, I haven't been any trouble with WhatsApp... With 2017-10-27 build, with the proximity speakerphone settings in the AOSP dialer settings, I have the problem
Proximity speakerphone settings were never in Velocity settings. Only vibrations options were. Either use it as is, use AOSP dialer as intended or youll have to find some other Rom that fills your needs. -
Yes, hotspot working fine.
The "fix" thats used on Six is severely messing with wifi connecting after reboots and when turning hotspot off again. I'm not adding a partial fix to my Rom. I dont and never will use Hotspot so I guess if its something you need youll have to flash something else. -
Do you think the problem of WhatsApp is tied to this?
No idea. I dont and never have used WhatsApp. Any audio plays normally for me though. -
S.i.x rom oreo, I guess
Have you used and confirmed this?Update: This should be fixed next build.
-
Its not in Google dialer. It's built into the AOSP dialer just like reverse lookup and other items. If you choose to use Google dialer instead you have no options.
-
Anyone got hotspot working?
What Rom is it working on? -
No, its a dialer setting that belongs in there.

Just FYI to everyone on here since there seems to be some confusion....Shamu is now a port, not an officially supported device and as such there are things that wont likely work (now or ever). If you can't live with that go back to a Nougat build. Im certainly not going to spend any more of my time chasing down real or imagined tiny little issues. If you want to actually be helpful find commits to fix these things if they truly exist. Or at the very least find another Rom that doesnt have this issue and I can try to take a look at it. I guess were now to the point where fast and stable for an unsupported device isnt good enough.

This isn't a report all the problems you're having forum. I think I stated that pretty clearly a couple days ago. Also, why would you think it's ok to link this forum on XDA? Not cool. Please delete that post there or I'll just move my builds. There is a reason I don't go or post there.

Hm, your answer is a little too unpolite. I don't intend to offense you, just say what I found not working. Also is not an Oreo issue, not all custom ROM have it, it's right, most of them have that issue. I didn't see anywhere said to not report bugs. Anyway, xda is not a part of my preocupe anymore for same attitude just see here. I will never enter her so no bother to answer. You blame for an atttitude you just have it, use it or leave it, and not criticize nothing just praise me... Have a good day sir.
My response was definitely more harsh and rude than you deserved and for that I do apologize. I suppose I am overly sensitive to people constantly complaining about stuff, especially when new OS versions come out.
My statement about use it or dont still stands though. Im not looking for praise or criticism. This is just my personal build I happen to share here. I and others do extensive testing before it ever gets released so Im not looking for any reports of issues here as theyre either known, common to Oreo builds right now, or unimportant to me (and not fixable). This is where this forum and this Rom differs from others. All are welcome to use my work. This is however a take it as it comes affair. Again, my apologies for the overly harsh response.

You would have to just turn off the notification for that app. There is no way to just have it off while changing. Once the notification is dismissed the changing light will go back to normal.

I tried your ROM, I like how slim it is. It's one of the best Oreo ROM I tried. I find one problem wich determine me to not use as daily, the bluetooth disconect from my smartwatch when enter in deepsleep. A very good ROM, a slim size one, good feature in settings. I can said you do a very good job sir, thx.
This is an issue on every Oreo rom. Use it or don't use it. Makes no difference to me. Just don't start with the xda stuff where you say how great a Rom is but....

Welcome. And velocity never had nor never will have stability issues. Not sure why anyone would release a build that's not stable. Next build will be significantly faster as well and will be another clean flash. I still have testing to do but maybe in the next few days.
-
Likely, just dont know when. I cant get a build to work properly right now. No idea why and until I see some more Roms I trust releasing this (aka Pure) I wont mess with it anymore.
-
Pretty sure its not working on Oreo period for Shamu.
