[Kernel] leanKernel v2.14 [5.1.1] LP final; v3.4 M [6.0] [13.12.2015]

  • Nach vielen ausprobieren hier mein fav Version leanKernel.
Akkulaufzeit bemerkenswert GUT.Keine reboots etc.

  • v2.0 is up. Lollipop 5.1 (lmy47d) only!

Should be very close to v1.17 feature wise. Just merged in the android 5.1 source and made a bunch of tweaks/adjustments for full 5.1 compatibility. I removed lkconfig core control stuff for now (I may bring it back later), but added a simple option to enable/disable mpdecision.

Oh, someone wanted stock lmy47d kernel too so I put that up as well.

(Hope no major bug is found - I'm gonna be out of town for the next two days.

    v2.2 is up.

One notable change is kernel code to prevent /system components like mpdecision and msm_thermal from raising minfreq and lowering maxfreq via lkconfig (sysfs nodes). I no longer need to work in userspace (ie. disable mpdecision, change sysfs file permissions, etc.) to achieve this which is how I preferred to do things anyway.

Note this is *disabled* by default - you must enable it via lkconfig if you want this feature. Just to be clear, this is for those of you who 1) want to prevent unwanted minfreq changes, and/or 2) want to keep maxfreq from changing say when battery drops to 40%, etc. Hope it works.

  • Update auf v2.3 mit der Option, bei 40% / 20% Restakku das Begrenzen der maximalen Frequenz zu unterbinden...konfigurierbar über lkconfig:

    Zitat

    v2.3 is up.

I think v2.3 should be more stable than v2.2 and v2.1. I reverted some commits that were suspected of causing reboots for some folks.

Also, I completely redid how I mitigate maxfreq being lowered at 40/20% battery. The previous implementation wasn't working so well and could potentially prevent true thermal throttling from working properly. The new implementation if configured via lkconfig/sysfs, should work a lot better and allows thermal throttling to continue to work.

This feature has been tested by several people (thanks) successfully, but there may still need to be some fine-tuning in the future, especially on the temp threshold. To configure this, you want to select "prevent lowering maxfreq":

    Code:
    11) allow raising of minfreq: Y, allow lowering of maxfreq: N

  • Update auf 2.4:

    Some notable changes:

    1) Kernel memory leak fixes. I'm not done with this yet, there's still one more I need to track down in vfs. Keep in mind that kernel memory leaks are pretty small compared to ROM leaks which are what we really need fixed.
    2) Kexec/multirom support
    3) Enhancements in frequency mitigation prevention (you know the 40/20% battery thingie).
    4) various updates from CAF and Linux

    For Nexus 6 users

If you're running +IMosey On's LeanKernel you can use FKUpdater's Performance Profiles functionality, I abducted and threatened +IMosey On until he added support for this.
So if you're a FKUpdater and LeanKernel user, you're good to go :)
