[ROM][N6] MeanPop v2.10 [LVY47H 5.1][All Carriers][LED w/clr/blink][prox. fix][02.04.2015]

  • Update auf 2.04 auf Basis LMY47M (T-Mobile USA):

    Zitat

Alrighty. 2.04 is up, based on LMY47M. I built it in such a way that I believe it will be compatible with all carriers including T-Mobile. As outlined in post 1, I recommend T-Mobile customers flash the LMY47M bootloader/radio and everyone else flash LMY47E bootloader/radio (links to both in the OP). Then just flash the ROM.

This build is certainly working flawlessly for me on Verizon, but please report back if you see anything odd with your carrier and be sure to include which carrier you have and which bootloader/radio you used. The way I built this, I believe it might fix some issues with T-Mobile while not interfering with any other carriers. It is worth flashing this if you've had black screen issues to see if it fixes that, but I do not expect LMY47M to fix black screen issues. The more I look into that problem, the more I think it's an app that a few people have installed that is not playing nicely with 5.1. But we'll get into that once we find out if 2.04 actually makes any difference WRT the black screen problem; there's a chance since some vendor binaries were updated, including some sensor libraries. That said, this change to LMY47M is more for compatibility's sake: to have one base that is designed for all carriers.

    - T-Mobile (nur USA) users use the LMY47M bootloader/radio (flash via TWRP - thanks @scrosler)
    - Everyone else use the LMY47E bootloader/radio (batch file: flash via fastboot - thanks @scrosler)

  • Update auf 2.05 ist raus mit folgender Option für jene, die Probleme mit einem schwarzen Bildschirm bei Telefonaten haben (Proximity Sensor/Annäherungssensor):

    Zitat

I found it. I'll release 2.05 later today that will allow you to disable the proximity sensor while in calls; you can then just use the power key to control the screen yourself. All you'll have to do is edit /data/meanpop.opt and change the last line:

    From the default:
    DISABLEPROXIMITYINCALLS="false"

    To:
    DISABLEPROXIMITYINCALLS="true"

  • Update auf v2.07:

    Zitat

2.07 is ready. It has a charging LED (quick flash) and ability to turn off the proximity sensor for the ambient display: allowing those with screen protectors that are interfering to get the ambient display to work. See top of post 2 for config info.

    CHANGELOG

    v2.07 released Mar 27

    • Added quick flash LED for charging (see above for options)
    • Added ability to disable proximity sensor for ambient display (see above for options)
  • It's update Time.

    2.09 is up.

    Zitat

2.09 has the proximity sensor fix built-in. I also added two options to the power menu (long press the power button):

    - Ambient Pickup ON
    - Ambient Pickup OFF

The current setting will be checked: the phone boots with Ambient Pickup ON. If you want to turn it off, say when you are driving, so that motion doesn't activate the display, simply check the box for "Ambient Pickup OFF". You'll still get the ambient display for incoming notifications but the display won't be activating due to motion. When you are ready for the screen to turn on again when the phone is picked up, just long press power and check the box for "Ambient Pickup ON".

I also added the ability to turn off CPU optimizations: set CPUOPT="false" in /data/meanpop.opt if you use a custom kernel.

    Enjoy,

  • und da sind wir schon bei v2.10...

    Zitat

    2.10 is up.

    Rebased to LVY47H

No reason other than to keep us on the most recent build. LVY47H is 3 days newer than LMY47M. FWIW, I personally don't notice any difference.

  • 2.11 is up!

    v2.11 released Apr 6

    • Fixed low/inconsistent volume of ringtones and alarms (5.1 bug)
    • Fixed ability to turn off native LED (see above)
    Zitat

2.11 is up. I fixed the ability to turn off native LED: see post 2. Everything including ability to turn native LED off is now in /data/meanpop.opt so no need to edit build.prop for anything now. I also got tired of ringtones and alarms having low and sometimes very inconsistent volume during the first ~1.5 seconds of playback. Took 4 full days to figure out a fix for that! It can be mistaken for a "feature" since the volume starts out low and then increases but this is a bug: looks like a 5.1-combined-with-motorola bug. Most of the time, ringtones and alarms start off at a fraction of the volume, play at low volume for about 1.5 seconds, and then the volume increases suddenly to the set volume. Other times, the volume will come on for the set volume for about 1/4 second, lower to a fraction, and then back up. I've been awakened by my alarm tone more often than not with a 1/4 second blast at the intended volume, followed by about a second of very low volume, followed by a quick snap back to set volume. Anyway, got tired of that and fixed it in 2.11.<br />

2.14 is up. Long press power and uncheck "Notification LED" to turn the LED off. It even retains the notification LED status in the background so that when you turn it back on, you see the intended LED color (if any).

2.15 is up now. I added color battery text where the battery fades from white to yellow down to 25% and then through orange to red down to 0. I also reduced the brightness of the "Android is starting..." dialog when Android is optimizing apps after a flash: reduces screen burn-in of that dialog box.
